The storyline of this thrilling game follows Sam Fisher, an expert agent of the National Security Agency, who has to go on an undercover mission after the recent demise of his daughter to a drunk driving accident. He is given the task of infiltrating a new terror organization who want to spread chaos and actualize destruction. While pursuing his objectives, he finds himself in a gray area between the terrorists and the government officials, where, to earn the trust of both the sides, he must maintain his actions so as to show them that he isn’t an infidel so that he can save countless, innocent lives.

The gameplay retains quite a few of the moves that the protagonist executed in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, the predecessor of this game. You are required to be as stealthy as a shadow as you make your way past hordes of enemies. When it comes to confronting them in a delicate situation you’d probably have to sneak up from behind them and put them in a vice grip for the purpose of interrogation or just end them with a lethal knife attack. You will also have to gun down myriad. A big improvement since the last game is the intriguing trust system where you have to perform certain tasks for both, the terrorists and the NSA, so that they believe you are on their side.
