It seems none of major drivers are supported in debian/ubuntu/mint. If you intend to use this basic system on Windows, You can try.
For Linux, it is really painful. Nothing installed automatically. Not even after installing nonfree-firmwares. No Lan, No Wifi to begin with.

i purchased this laptop few months back.....its performance is really outstanding at this price range...it gives the best for gaming and as well as for official use....its a simple laptop with a simple design...and a compact one....

Do not buy this laptop just because its cheap. I bought it last year and now I am regretting my decision. The keyboard and DVD drive is not functioning properly and will need to be replaced costing 5000 Rs. Just a few days back, the battery is malfunctioning too (another 5000 Rs). Since its 14 months since the purchase, I have to pay for everything. Spend a little more and get a HP or Lenovo.

This laptop is good for most of the every day tasks. Obviously it is not for gamers.

The performance of the processor is good but it struggle to play Blue Ray videos of size in range 6 GB. (Tries in Win 7 with all the drivers installed using VLC player)

I bought 2 Toshiba laptops ,one for me and one for my brother.After 6 months my laptops bottom panel is damaged(It is made up with cheep plastic).I have to pay 3500 rs for this . Then after 1 yr its display got damaged(5500 rs for that). Toshiba laptop is a piece of bull shit...

My experience with Toshiba has been awful and disheartening as the new product was faulty and I needed the product very urgently.I am still waiting for a replacement.Kindly arrange for the replacement ASAP.

Played 1080P HD video which can be extreme use case for a normal user was playing fine and smooth by VLC. Haven't played any blue ray video though. Will try that and update the same.

Everything is good except touch pad Key because it too hard to use. So I have to purchase mouse instead of using it.
