Its an awesome wifi adapter but my old laptop has Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG beats its signal strength however it is very useful because of the usb cable that it can gain more signal strength than the laptop defaut wifi.

This worked as a brilliant addition to my desktop. I did not have a wireless router pre-installed in my desktop. However with this adapter, I didn't need one anymore.

I used this to share my Ethernet connection as a hotspot. It performed the function admirably.
The ideal place to use this as a hotspot would be in a large hall or a loft-like structure.
The transfer speed is good.

1. It has a limited range. Will usually work well within a single floor(30-40 feet).

I have an old amd pc with moderate specs from 2009 and this adapter just flawlessly worked. The pc have been upgraded to win 10 from win 7 and I didn't even had to use the driver DVD as it just worked out of the box. Great product.

This is the second wireless adapter I ordered on FP and of TP-Link.

The first one was TL-WN721N and it was working well on windows , but had some problems on Ubuntu.

So I did some research on the net found that RealTek chipset based products (Which TL-WN721N is) are not 'supported that well' on Ubuntu (Linux in general) and was searching for Atheros chipset based product

This one and TL-WN723N are Atheros chipset based and work like a charm in Ubuntu and of course on windows as well with ...

about the product- I used to get 1 bar signal before from my neighbour's wifi after using this product i get full range even 100ft away. the soft ap feature is excellent.This product is a must buy product that i really recommend.
