Captivating book.
It's a good captivating book which become very interesting as it comes to an end. The writing is very good with lot of interesting moments. Enjoyed reading the book and the climax is really awesome. Bought the ebook version of the book and had a good experience.

Simply learnt, how to give a majestic finish, an epic.
My first novel read in electronic form. And, I am glad, that I start with a masterpiece by the legend columnist/ novelist. Written in 1956, the background of the story gave me the idea of people's mind-set about the independence, a close intersection with the post independence situation, the babu saab culture and a perfect plot to choose the story of the last Indian village next to pakistan.
End of the story can not be this much meaningful and giving a justice to the title.
A must read.

fiction that exports you to the era
khushwants way of story telling has been awesome.it follows a flow which keeps the interest and curiosity intact.train to Pakistan is surely on of his best.all characters are as pure as gold

Masterpiece by a master
This is a famous book by the iconic Indian journalist and author-Khushwant Singh.The author very lividly brought to life the final days of partition in the subcontinent as seen thru the eyes of villagers of a tiny Punjab village.

A walk back
It is incredible how the country hasn't changed much. Only the method has. Our belief system and our opinions and worse still our complete naivety of the games that are played.
