Faulty Disk was shipped to me, now seller/service team is giving excuses not to replace it.
Disk has been giving data error(CRC) while initializing it.
Its USB cable connector at disk end is loose due to this connection is not stable.
I strongly recommend not to go for this product

I work with a motorbike tour company, and we ride over extreme conditions in the Himalayas, Tibet, Rajasthan, and so far its been a nightmare to store data, especially big video files on portable externals. The only reason I chose Transcend over WD and Seagate, is for the supposedly military grade shock protection (I have butterfingers!). The casing protects the hard disk during drops.

- It's heavy and looks pretty sturdy. I haven't practically tested how immune it is to drops, but you can say it can withstand shocks better than your delicate WD's or Seagate's.

- The USB 3.0 speeds are good, so there's no problem with that.

- Din't try the one-touch backup feature yet.

Bought the hard drive from flipkart, Got the delivery in 2 days !!!,
Compact , looks sturdy enough, 1.81 TB space available getting upto 90MBps transfer speed while backing up from my Laptop.
Already have a 1 TB seagate backup Plus Ext. HD.
Definitely bulkier but stronger build as compared to it.....
And now i no longer have to delete files to make space for new ones ..... :D
Hopefully for a long time ....
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

PROS:
1. It has a nice "heavy duty" construction without being bulky
2. It also has a nice grip and feel because of the rubber material on outside which also won't let it slide easily on the table surface preventing it from falling.
3. Very quiet

CONS:
1. It ships formatted with the very old FAT32 file system as opposed to most recent (and not so recent) Windows Laptop/PC Hard Drives and external Hard Drives that have been using NTFS since Win 2000 and ...

the HDD works fine.Fully lives upto expectations and specifications. I would recommend the users format the HDD into NTFS format so as to allow transfer of files over 4 Gb. Cheers

Excellent product plastic desing i dropped the hard disk for 2 to 3 times it does not have a single scratch worth it

Worst HDD Ever.

Hard disk is fully functional and gives quite remarkable transfer speed.

BUT the 3.0 Cord supplied is not upto the mark.The first time i used it seemed to be a little loose but after a week when i tried using one of my friend's cord (SAME MODEL)..it came out to be fine.

DONT BUY FROM FLIPKART.

THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS.

AND THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL ARE NOT AT ALL SIMILAR TO THOSE WE BUY FROM COMPANY RETAIL SHOPS.
