A much awaited review...
I had a friend who had a Transcend T-sonic MP850 4GB model and oh-boy it was so fast and sounded so good that I decided that my first PMP is gonna be a transcend (yeah! I didn't own one till then) and then somehow the kept getting delayed. Meanwhile I found the MP860. For the first time Transcend had released a PMP with expandable storage. Super-friggin Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is one absolutely terrific mp3/video player..
When i saw the price on the label and what flipkart offered me, i just could not believe it.. So 10/10 for the price!!!
I've got the transcend headphones with the player and these play terrific!!! So 9/10 for sound.. Put in a good headphone and it'll be a perfect 10..!!!
The video quality is just unbelievable!! You'll have to see it for yourself to believe it.. But there is a small problem here, the video hangs in between at times. I guess...

Transcend Audiophile music on the move
Been using the Transcend with a 32GB memory card for the past 6 months. I transfer all my FLAC audio files on to this player. This player can play FLAC files upto 24bit/92Khz but not 24bit?192Khz. The music sounds great being lossless. It allows me to make 5 playlists according to my choice. I can hook it up to my music system and play my FLAC music through my Creek Amp and it sounds just terrific!

After 2 months of Usage... Not that bad! :)
I bought this device around mid Jan... but I am giving a review now after some good amount if usage..What had caught my attention mainly was its range of audio and video format playback...(audio its plays .ogg, .flac ect, in video it plays mpeg4, .vob, .flv..not sure of .mkv) and its option of expandable storage upto 16GB..that really caught my attention.. and its pricing was good at 2845...i did not find any other device around this price range with all this..it also has ebook reading capabi...

Its a true fact that in such a price tag we cant get a mp3 player with lot of features.sound quality is astonishing, i wonder that the bass enhancer is really good(just upgrade the given ear set)
screen quality for picture viewing is far better while considering the fact that its not a new-tech mobile:-)
video quality is not so bad, e-book reader is average.
last not the least- its too much user friendly device. within 2 days of its usage we will be its master.

worth the price!
if you are low on budget and happy with a small screen......then don't think twice before buying.....it is very good for hostel inmates.......it only cons are that every movie you get will have to be converted in the needed format in order to play.sound quality is good.easy interface and good battery are its plus points........and flipkart makes it easuer to order so no need to think twice.

Good but battery charger is not the standard accessory
I bought this product (MP860 4GB) a couple of months back for my son. Its not the best in this category but for this price tag its a good product. Easy to use, good sound quality, rather good video quality...so its good for normal music listening or watching videos. The ebook (txt) feature doesn't seem to work.

this player is cheap and good but it is slow.and u have to press navigation keys every time to scroll or drop down which is some time irritating.but on the brighter side u are getting a good music player with different eq presets and srs hd sound quality.watching videos are only good if they are in flv format.otherwise u will definitely face synchronization probelm.battery back is awesome .recharge time is about 2.8 to 3.2 hr,which is good.the headset comes with mp870 is awefully bad....so pl...
