1.well built - the connector looks like it could outlast the ports

1.cap could get lost
2.could have been designed to support USB 3 transfer rates

something to try for transcend:
1.Transcend could try making it more compact w/ an enclosed cap design
2.why can't these card have some inbuilt memory.

I bought it in 2014 and still using it after two years. This one has been amazing..needed a card reader for my SDHC card of my nikon d 7000 and this product really served me well. It is still in great shape, looks good with that piano black colour. And yes, it might get scratches and discoloured due to rough usage and that is very common to black coloured devices. Mine is used with great care and still kept in the sales package so it looks new and works brilliant.

Very easy to use, works like a charm. You just have to insert your card and there it is. Easy to move files to your computer from mobile and vice versa.

The product performs as promised. Is reliable and quality. Attracts a lot of fingerprints though. Have tested the card reader with class 4 and class 10 cards, and there has been no problem. Some people in their review said, that this card reader did not support booting OS, but on testing it I believe otherwise.

Flipkart delivery was good. Received item today.

1.Build quality is average. Not that strong looks like chinese with a transcend logo on it. I could see movement between pcb & cover when pulled lightly on the port. Has a blue led on it.
2.The read & write speeds are lesser than my old quantum(chinese) reader.( Biggest con).
3.Grossly overpriced.
4.Did not find manufacturing date on the pack, only made in china mentioned.
