When two warring factions of a robotic race of aliens reach Earth in order to find a mighty force that can either bring about harmony or chaos in the universe, who would you fight for? Transformers is a single-player third-person shooter game for the PC. Developed by Savage Entertainment and published by Activision, Transformers has a PEGI rating of 12.
On other consoles you can choose which side you want to fight for, whether you would want to defend Earth and mankind as an Autobot or destroy it by playing a Decepticon. However, the PSP version alternates between both the factions, thereby giving you a wholesome experience of the Transformers narrative. The Autobots storyline starts off by showing Bumblebee who is disguised as a Camaro and leads a young man named Sam Witwicky to his comrades so as to tell him that he contains the artifact that can guide them to the mighty force that is the All Spark. The Decepticon storyline mainly revolves around them trying to find Sam in order to get the coordinates of the All Spark so they can rule existence with the infinite power it has to offer.
With regard to gameplay, there are 23 playable characters, more than what the other console versions of this game have to offer. The robots that are featured in the game have at least five different attack types, i.e., a melee attack, a light weapon attack, a heavy weapon attack, the ability to fling massive inanimate objects at your opponent, or you could even use some of the objects you pick up such as a lamppost as a sword.
