Isabgol is the seed of a plant called Plantago ovata. This plant looks exactly like wheat, with small leaves and flowers. The seeds which are planted in the branches of this plant have a white colored substance sticking on them. This is called isabgol husk (Psyllium husk) . Many medicinal properties are found in the husk of Isabgol and it is very beneficial for health.
