Synopsis and Features
Calypso is back after a long hiatus. He has organized a deadly racing competition and has invited you to participate in it. You are reluctant, but Calypso is ready to give to the one thing that you desperately crave - your dream wish. To win this competition you can go to extreme limits and annihilate your competition, because the only thing that matters is winning. Are you ready to destroy anyone who comes in your way?
Developed by Eat Sleep Play and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, Twisted Metal promises you the best things it is known for - destruction and carnage. The game follows a simple formula. There are 3 story arcs. You advance from one story arc to another. The stories focus around 3 characters. These include Sweet Tooth: a demented killer who dresses as a clown, Mr. Grimm: a stuntman and Dollface: an obsessive and violent model.
Every racing game needs fine-tuned controls to be properly enjoyed. Twisted Metal has smooth controls and game mechanics that allow you to control your car effortlessly. You can zoom around the map using sports cars such as the Kamikaze and Crimson Fury. The adrenaline pumping action never stops as there an array of vehicles at your disposal like the police SUV Outlaw, Darkside and even a helicopter called Talon.
The gameplay is really fun as you can attach plethora of weapons to your cars and neutralize your enemy in the craziest manner possible. The weapons include standard sidearm, homing missile, power missiles and more. Special abilities are also available that assist you in taking down the enemy. These include the ice blasts: a blast that temporarily freezes the enemy, and many more.
Twisted Metal gives you some of the most spectacular vehicle collisions and explosions. You will be addicted to crashing your car into the enemy’s windshield and crushing it to pieces. Twisted Metal features a 4 player split-screen co-op multiplayer, allowing you to increase the vehicular carnage.
If you are not satisfied with the single-player gameplay, Twisted Metal allows up to 16 players to get together online and wreak havoc on each other. There are many different modes that make gameplay much more entertaining as well as satisfying. The different online multiplayer modes include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Last Man Standing and many more.
