Rushdie goes in the realm of fantasy and it's damn good

So, this is what our master storyteller comes out with after a short pause! A novel, where he lets his imagination takes wing in the clear, blue sky without stopping for more mundane and ritualistic cores! One thing is that Rushdie still scores handsomely and gives us a novel, where he tells a story of our "future". One thousand and one nights or in more simplistic term two years eight months and twenty eight nights of a fight between the good jinns and the bad ones form the bedrock of the st...

    On Flipkart's Proactive Attitude

I had written a stern feedback regarding this book being available in the market but not on Flipkart. They had actually advanced the date of release. Well, lo and behold, Flipkart pulled a rabbit out of the hat and this book not only became available but at a heavily discounted price. Bravo Flipkart, you do listen to customers, don't you? Well done. Way to go!
I received it in one day of ordering it and am relishing it.

    Moderate

I hate the condition of the books. The print is not good at some places. The book is damaged. I opened it today for reading and I cannot read some of the paragraphs due to double print.

    Lovely book

Amazing book but a bit hard to read because of the complexity of Rushdie's thinking.A remarkable creative work, which meets Rushdie's standards, which he is known for.
    A tribute to literary world.

    Drags In (Many) Parts

It starts well enough, with a very interesting premise, but as you read on, this book starts to drag, and drag very seriously. In parts I had to really make an effort to concentrate and finish a page or two. That's because Mr Rushdie stops telling a story (ironic, since the book's title refers to 10001 Nights, a series of engaging stories) and just pontificates. He ruminates on the state of humanity, state of the world etc etc and it's terribly boring. A sad change from books like Shalimar Th...
