This book has a very good collection of materials and concepts in most of the chapters. The exercises for each part are discussed separately. This kind of discussion actually gives a good approach to what type of questions or concepts would be asked in each of these parts. This is definitely a good choice for the CSIR-UGC-NET aspirants and would train them with in the appropriate way with the support from the question band, exercises and solved papers.

This is a much better book than other books by Upkars and Pearson. This book contains enough subject matter and lot of MCQ questions. You should this book as a question bank and answers of any such competitive books should be checked from the standard text books. Any student of chemistry major can go for this book.

Standard & concise texts.....lots of MCQs....previous year questions....too much helpful for preparation.

If some trivial printing mistakes are excused, the content of the book is good enough to scroll through before appearing CSIR-NET Exam. This is indeed not a concept building book but will definitely make sure you don't skip important topics for the exam. For actual preparation standard books are indispensable. This one is good for practice and assessing the problem solving strategies as it contains solved practice papers and previous year's question paper.
