Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is the third title in the Uncharted Franchise that comes to the game shelves this year. The general story in all the Uncharted titles revolve around the main protagonist Nathan Drake, who is a fortune hunter in search of wealth and fame. He is usually helped by his mentor Victor Sullivan who was the best fortune hunter of his time. The game included in this version is the game of the year edition which encompasses some special features within it. It is the exclusive best selling version of the franchise and contains the main game within it, in addition to all the downloadable content that was included in the game’s multiplayer mode. A total of 14 different items are included with the game, like the 12 new multiplayer maps, more than 40 new skins, a Fort Co-op adventure and Shade survival mode.

Synopsis and Features

The main story revolves around the fortune hunters, Nathan and Victor. They come to know of the fabled Atlantis of the Sands, a supposed oasis in the desert that held untold riches and secrets that could unlock the mysteries of life. The adventurers chase this lead all the way to the Arabian Desert and other similar destinations in hopes of finding more clues. They also discover that they are not alone in their quest for riches and encounter a shadowy clandestine organization led by a ruthless leader.

The duo joins forces with a woman in hopes of increasing their odds at discovering the secrets of the place. With each secret that gets uncovered about the city, the situation changes and gradually becomes a chase for survival. The journey forces Nathan to come to terms with situations and face his darkest fears.

The PS3 version of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (Game Of The Year Edition) has been rated as 16 by PEGI for strong language and moderate levels of violence. The gameplay has been tweaked to enable Nathan to take on more opponents in ways that are very different from earlier versions. It is much easier to engage in hand to hand combat with multiple opponents without having to constantly move away to free yourself. Melee attacks are more prominently done with more damage being delt to enemies. Stealth options provide the player with alternate means of achieving goals with minimum violence and chances of being caught.
