Matthew Reilly is never disappointing. This book is putting the Scarecrow series on a new level. I think the author is trying to challenge himself by continuing with this series. He's giving Scarecrow all that he has got. You can't keep the book down even if you want too. It's a solid page turner and I completed the book within two days of it's arrival. I've read all of Reilly's books and they give me a sense of thrill like no other author has been able to do. Scarecrow and The Army of Thieves is just what I expected - action packed, adrenaline charged, over the top and simply mind blowing. I read it as if I were zooming on Nitrous Oxide. Scarecrow has not recovered from his loss. He's damaged, but still handles everything thrown at him. Read it!!

The first best book written by Matthew Reilly for me will always be 'Five Greatest Warriors.'

The story moves at a roller-coaster speed and keeps you hooked to it right to the last page. It brings our Scarecrow, Mother and a host of new characters, all of them intensely lovable, in a whole new level of action.

While the story line wasn't as comparable to Scarecrow and Ice Station, this book delivered what it was mean to: adrenaline thrills!

I'm sure the Scarecrow stories will now evolve, having played on Scarecrow's life after Libby's death, hopefully we'll move on to more conspirational stories.

I enjoy Matthew Reilly's books and recommend them readily.

Typical Matthew Reilly thriller... very fast, amazing plot, nice new characters and Reilly's unmatched brilliance with action thrill writing... Reilly lives up to his promise of giving out something better than his last effort. Scarecrow fans are in for a real treat :)

I bought this based on a review in Mint. But to my disappointment, it turned out more of a childish plot. The target audience is teenage boys. I would not call it as a sci-fi as the plot is too weak and the author just tries to make it sound interesting by peppering it with long technical terms like "Zinc tipped RPG mounted on a rifle" etc. It is more like Rambo 4, with lots of firepower and very little of plot. Action scenes are also not believable if you have knowledge about military weapon...

One word - LEGENDARY. Shane Schofield does his thing again and he does not even come remotely close to disappointing. A new scenario, a new enemy, a new danger...LEGENDARY!

Im just waiting for the next Matthew Reilly thriller...

... it's so damn GOOD!!! If you're a fan of action, adventure, high-octane, well, ANYTHING, I'd recommend every single book Matthew writes. His books are WONDERFUL. Tipping down PS, who gave a very unfairly negative review of the book; I honestly think the New York Times knew what it was doing when it nominated this as the action book of the year, no? All in all, EXCELLENT read.

A must read for all Matthew Reilly fans.Action packed and unbelievably paced. It helps if you have read Area 7 or at least Scarecrow as it helps to understand Scarecrow's state of mind.But still AWESOME!!!!!
