    Description

This is a dazzling, passionate polemic against anti-science movements of all kinds. Keats accused Newton of destroying the poetry of the rainbow by explaining the origin of its colours. In this illuminating and provocative book, Richard Dawkins argues that Keats could not have been more mistaken, and shows how an understanding of science enhances our wonder of the world. He argues that mysteries do not lose their poetry because they are solved: the solution is often more beautiful than the puzzle, uncovering even deeper mysteries. Dawkins takes up the most important and compelling topics in modern science, from astronomy and genetics to language and virtual reality, combining them in a landmark statement on the human appetite for wonder.

As we all know..the author is a good thinker and rational mind.....but i feel bored due to his poetic references often in this book. But the later half of book is good....

    Dawkins at his best!

MUST READ for all those people who like to read their horoscopes everyday, loved the book The Secret and all other pseudo-scientific nonsense, believe that there really is such a thing as "quantum healing" and think that it actually works... and most importantly take pride in doing so.
Dawkins exposes all kind of falsehoods that become popular and accepted only because they seem nice to hear and comfortable to believe, and challenges the people who say that scientists (or anybody who refuses ...

Excellent book, as expected from Richard Dawkins.

Another great book from Richard Dawkins. The characteristic writing style of Richard Dawkins makes it thought provoking and awe inspiring. A perfect rebuttal to those claims that science is boring and dull. Once read, one would rethink the position of science in our lives and it's beauty.

Richard Dawkins is the Shakespeare of 21st century with the paper as the stage, the whole world as the actors and science and it's beauty as the play's theme. If this book is used as part of English literat...
