Summary Of The Book

The Special Class Railway Apprentices was a program started by the British in 1927. This training program was started to help them recruit Indian engineers to work in the Indian Railway network.

Candidates passing the entrance exam for this course will join the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Jamalpur for an undergraduate course in engineering. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) now conducts the exam for picking candidates for the SCRA Program.
