After initially reviewing these test strips, I gave these a try one more time, after 2-3 months. I was expecting the sugar to be high. This time the sugar strip did change the color after 30 seconds and matched the first level, the albumine one did not change. Just to confirm, I did the blood sugar test and the sugar was indeed high. So these strips do work, at least for sugar test.
