Q:Is driking of boiled water in plastic body safe?
A:Good question. Moreover, this kettle is specifically bad in that sense. I also feel a slight plastic taste and smell to the water, when I drink it.

A:No it is some sort of plastic. I too got misled in thinking inner body is steel. Only the bottom part where the heating element lies, is steel, the surrounding wall is all plastic.
