Have some Vice for Tea !

The author has the ineffable gift of a natural storyteller. She has the knack of inventing characters whose motives and acts are easy to understand and remember, people we can hate or love! The characters in them show foibles, fears and hope as people of this present world. Nicely put under the morbid deadly sins and just like the young woman who can smell dead people I can smell a Jeffrey Archer in the making! Read it on a beach or at tea and it goes with any full bodied red wine - its such a...

    Simple yet beautiful

Simple yet mind tickling stories that portray a different side of the human mind… The highlight of the stories are its twisted ends… be it the young woman smelling dead people or the up market house wife trying to battle her shopaholic nature or the young girl who kept getting abused by her boyfriend who finally marries somebody…. I liked every story as each one of left me thinking even after days of reading it. Felt there was some amount of realism in the stories coz in real life there is s...

Suitable title as it deftly explores the vices of the woman's mind.

Simple yet skilful weaving of the dark side of the human mind, especially the woman's, into the tales of the human relationships. Each story is different, set in a different location and ends with a surprise element. A good selection of words and tales which reflect a mature mind and writing skills. The black and white photographs by the author herself, lend an added realism to each story.

    perfect read for people watchers

If your vice is watching the world go by and wondering what truth really lies behind those faces you encounter, then you should pick up this book. I like the way this book lays bare the insecurities all of us carry in some measure or the other, which ultimately leads us to our transgressions. The little glimpses that are afforded to every character were very well crafted and left you wanting to know more. A welcome change of pace from all those same ol' stodgy girl meet boy stories.

    Amazing short stories!!

Innovative 11 short stories each of which keeps your eyes glued till the last line. Love the idea of each short story based on a cardinal sin. The writer has done a fantastic job of creating a stage in front of the reader. While reading i can really feel like everything is happening around me. The detailing given on the characters as well as surrounding is fabulous. Other key thing about this book is we can relate the stories with us. I literally thought of some people whom i met while readin...
