Very Informative

One gets to know a lot about Kambli's early years that perhaps shaped him into what he became - the troubled / controversial persona that masked a very talented cricketer. For Kambli fans, this might be a repetition of what they already know. For the rest, this book is a pool of information on what could have been one of India's best cricketing products... 'Could have been'... The book tells you why he couldn't. Recommended read for fans of the sport.

For the true Kambli fans

Product:

It is a nice book. Though most of the Kambli fans already know most of the things about him. After all, we have been ridiculed so much that we were forced to read all about him (life, performances etc) to be able to defend him and ....ourselves!!! However, the book still manages to give a lot of details about his childhood, struggles and what he has gone through. A must read for all Kambli fans.

Flipkart Experience:

Like always, it was truly awesome

Lovely read

The book gives a terrific insight into the life and career of Vinod Kambli, especially his childhood and friendship with Sachin. It shows how complex the life of a sportsman in India can be and goes beyond conventional theories about Kambliâ??s downfall. The book gives a perspective on how people can be easily judged and misunderstood without knowing the actual facts. It is nicely written, is an easy read and keeps the reader engaged.

Mediocre

Expected far more than a superficial insight on the career of a cricketer, like this one provides.
It hurts that it has absolutely no contribution from kambli himself. The book has pretty average prose and is not at all engaging.
