Never have I read a mythological book so intensely detailed. It clearly reveals the amount of research been done by the author before it arrived into the reader's hands. I found the book an easy read. The storytelling is simple and entertaining. The story is paced in such a way that you want to move to the next chapter to see what he does. I really enjoyed meeting Vishwamitra in these pages and in turn disliked him and rooted for him. If you are looking for a research manual then this will not be the right book for you. Vishwamitra, contrary to the impression one has of old rishis, is a young man in the book which captures his adventures in an interesting and breezy manner. I didn't know too much about him to begin with but nevertheless, the book has opened my eyes to a beautiful and inspiring story and managed to completely change my impression of him!
