Directed by Ayan Mukerji, who won a Filmfare Award for his contributions to this flick, Wake Up Sid is a Hindi romantic comedy-drama film which stars 5-time Filmfare Award-winner Ranbir Kapoor of Barfi! fame, 2-time National Film Award-winner Konkona Sen Sharma and 8-time Filmfare Award-winning Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher. Wake Up Sid tells the story of a good-natured young man named Siddharth Mehra who is incredibly lazy. Living comfortably on the money of his parents and in the company of his friends, Siddharth doesn’t have much of a purpose or ambition in life and all he does is while away time indulging in his pleasures. However, all of that changes once he meets a bewitching and determined writer named Aisha.
