Why is there a shipping charge for this item?

Sellers with Flipkart Assured waive off the delivery charge for Orders over Rs 500. For Orders under Rs 500, a nominal delivery charge is added per item.

Sellers without Flipkart Assured may or may not add a delivery charge to your Order. This is subject to Seller discretion.

What is the estimated delivery time?

Sellers generally procure and ship the items within the time specified on the product page. Business days exclude public holidays and Sundays.

Estimated delivery time depends on the following factors:

      • The Seller offering the product
      • Product's availability with the Seller
      • The destination to which you want the order shipped to and the Seller's location

Why does the delivery date not correspond to the delivery timeline of X-Y business days?

It is possible that the Seller or our courier partners observe a holiday between the day you placed your order and the date of delivery, which is based on the timelines shown on the product page. In this case, we add a day to the estimated date. Some courier partners and Sellers do not work on Sundays and this is factored in to the delivery dates.

What do the different tags like 'In Stock', 'Available' mean?

      'In Stock'

Products‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

      'Available'

Products listed as ‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

      'Preorder' or 'Forthcoming'

The product is not released yet. You can however ‘book’ an order for this. Shipping happens only after the product launch.

      'Out of Stock'

Currently, the item is not available for sale. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know once it is available for purchase.

      'Imported'

Sometimes, items have to be sourced by Sellers from outside India. These items are mentioned as 'Imported' on the product page and can take at least 10 days or more to be delivered to you.

      'Back In Stock Soon'

The item is popular and is sold out. You can however 'book' an order for the product and it will be shipped according to the timelines mentioned by the Seller.

      'Temporarily Unavailable'

The product is currently out of stock and is not available for purchase. The product could to be in stock soon. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know when it is available for purchase.

      'Permanently Discontinued'

This product is no longer available because it is obsolete and/or its production has been discontinued.

      'Out of Print'

This product is not available because it is no longer published and has been permanently discontinued.

Why does the estimated delivery time vary for each seller?

Delivery times are influenced by product availability, geographic location of the Seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner's time-to-deliver to your location.

Please enter your default pin code on the product page to know more accurate delivery times on the product page itself.

Seller does not/cannot ship to my area. Why?

Enter your pincode on the product page to know whether the product can be delivered to your location.

If you haven't provided your pincode until the checkout stage, the pincode in your last used shipping address will be used to check for serviceability.

Whether your location can be serviced or not depends on:

      • Whether the Seller actually ships to your location
      • Legal restrictions, if any, in shipping particular products to your location
      • The availability of reliable courier partners in your location

At times Sellers prefer not to ship to certain locations. This is entirely at their discretion.

I'd Recommend This to a Friend

At first when I saw the photo of Shakthi Kannan with the book on his website I thought that he was holding some sort of banner and was looking for projects to work on :)

It's an excellent read for people who know how to code but are yet to digest the fine details of the trade. College students with no work experience are a perfect example. Shakthi covers a wide plethora of information (really wide) that programmers are expected to know. People who've learned Computer Science at home from bo...

A book for software engineers that changed the way I worked

This book changed me, my attitude, my way of approach towards things and much more all about which I can only feel, not say much. The name seemed weird at first : "i want 2 do project. tell me wat 2 do" by Shakthi Kannan. But as I went through it, I felt, I should have read this before. It is actually a crux of all the experience and practices developed over the years by great engineers in the world of programming. Practices that may seem trivial but actually matter a lot. Practices that may ...

Must buy if interested in contributing to open source

Engineering in India has traditionally been about getting good grades and then getting "placed".  Shakthi Kannan is one of those who inspire to break that mold by walking the talk.

I was lucky enough to do my bachelor's in Engineering in Pune around the time that Shakthi Kannan was still here. I attended quite a few lectures and workshops conducted by him: testing with Cucumber, Git in Emacs using magit and so on. When I found out that he had written a book for students looking to do project...

i want 2 do project. tell me wat 2 do review

I am completely disappointed with this book. I expected it would be related with how-to of Open source projects. As I opened the book, all I found was the "netiquettes" one needs to use in Open Source projects. I didn't buy this book to learn netiquettes and quotes from great man. Rename this book to "i want 2 do project. tell me some etiquette". Pissed.

Book Review: I want 2 do Project tell me What 2 do

It was February 2nd 2013 when I first time attended the Shakthi ‘s presentation “I want to do Project tell me What to do” at SITRC Nashik in a Fedora Workshop. I was motivated and re-energize to throw myself in the beautiful Open-Source World. A average student from average Engineering College of University of Pune where Environment and the background of college and city doesn’t shows Open-Source Culture. But after attending the presentation of Shakthi I started my new life and decided to wor...

Book Review : i want 2 do project. tell me wat 2 do.

The book "I want 2 do project. tell me wat 2 do." is an excellent guide for any student to get into the Free/Open Source Software world.

The students have tons of queries when asked to do a project, themselves. Though they know the basics of few programming languages, they usually don't do any programs themselves. They just copy/paste from others and found it is very difficult, when they have to do some programming themselves.

This book encourages the students to self learn new things and m...
