Above Average

I love the inside peek into Circus life that I get from this book. I wanted to read the book after the movie on it was made. And it's quite satisfying. Certain anecdotes within the tale are absolutely unforgettable. I especially loved the end note by the author on this story, how she researched for the topic and the chilling tales from the circus days of the years gone back.

Worth Reading

Jacob jumps onto a train, after tragedy strikes his life, which leads him to a world of magic and glamour. He makes friends, falls in love and finds out the real meaning of life. He soon begins to realize that behind the circus lights dark secrets lurk. His relationship with all the animals, especially the elephant Rose, is beautifully described. The book is also a take on issues such as neglect and abandonment of the old and social elitism.

Beautiful

This will make you laugh, smile, and cry. It will teach you a lot about life, its predicaments, its complications, and its hope. It may seem slow in places but it IS the kind of book that you need to allow to grow on you. Sit back and let it pull you in.
It's worth your time and money :)
