Excellent product, Instant access with my Samsung BD player and TV. Plays video, movies, and photo without delays. Streaming over wifi and network is seamless. Access storage over internet depends on speed of the internet.

Reliable, Compact NAS
Being a first time NAS user faced some difficulty..Once done all well. The application to access the contents online are also excellent and secure. Now can access my files anywhere on mobile even though they are lying at my home storage.
Only reason for giving 4 star is that the transfer rate from the USB drive is poor, even after directly connecting to the NAS.
Overall nice product.Highly recommended.

Mixed reaction from me!!!!!
Hi, it was wasy to connect. i get 11 mb/s via lan and 6 per wifi. you can access the drive as shared folder and do whatever as PC. Well, i bought it for home media server for my home theatre setup and smart TV. Everythings works fine except, subtitle and dolby sounds. I get those via other usb hard disk to smart tv connection. you must be knowing that it cannot be connected as external storage as it is network and cloud based. Lots of glitches and poor customer support
Using the product for over a week now and not happy. Major issues:
- Sync issue: doesn't do this properly, hangs/ stops/ creates duplicate files etc at times
- Time machine backup: Reliability issue. Every other day time machine says that the previous backups are not reliable and a fresh new backup much be taken. Not sure whether it is an apple issue or WD issue, but the moot point is that this combination doesn't work
- Slow backup. The speed is slow. may be my network... but not sure
- DLNA...

One of the Home NAS
This is one of the best NAS available for the Home category segment. Setup is very simple. If you are planning to use this device for just one prson one one device, this may not be that useful provided you want data on the network, For multi device strategy home purpose, this is the best i have found. Tight integration with Various Operating systems like iOS, Android apps , Web based Cloud integration UI .. upnp powered by DLNA..

I have bought this device six months back. What I found is this device has average performance at preety economical price.
Pros: -
1. Economical: - Best ebtry level product in NAS
2. No monthly cost for cloud storage
3. Remote Aceess to data
Cons: -
1. WD Apps needs lot of improvement. WD Sync app is very unreliable. It suddenly stops syncing even if device is online
2. Works bit slow when number of users accessing device exceeds

WD My Cloud Personal Storage 3.5
Must buy for the people who are looking at an option of network storage. There is a LAN port to place this online and then there is a USB port to increase the storage. The application to use on mobile is available on Windows, iOS and Android.
Clean user interface for admin purpose. The device is ON since last couple of weeks and I have no heating or any other issues.
Update: After heavy use, all I can say is that the downside is the speed at which data transfer takes place. Good to storage...

Before I write down about the transfer speeds on this product I will first mention a few technical points. And I am not trying to defend this device in anyways. I have a my book live duo (6 tb raid 0) for 2 years now so please spare a moment to read and understand.
