I have a number of External and internal hard disc since i am running a studio . In my experience WD products Lasts almost 1.5 times more than the Other competitors. The Onlt thing i was not happy with them is the design in comparison with Thoshiba, Adata( HD710 this one i bought only becoz of the look) Seagate.

So if you are going to buy an external hard disc which looks a bit old but with a study performance this is the best one you can get.

Note: u can get "WD Element" for a bit more ...

The prices of HDDs have come down in recent months. This is the best drive to buy in the current atmosphere. Total value for money.
Even though it is at par with Seagate HDDs in terms of performance, where it does score on is the 'LOOKS' department. Nice and compact. Plus it comes with 3 years onsite warranty.

Most people are confused between Seagate and Western Digital, but for the aesthetically inclined Western Digital is the preferred one.

Appearance-wise this external HD looks fantastic. The silver finish on side looks very attractive. The hard disk is much smaller than I expected.
I bought this about a week back. It is working well.

Flipkart service is good. I got it within 3 days of placing the order.

A good USB 3.0 solution in the 1 TB range, not to mention the amazing form factor of the product. I could clock transfer speeds upto 75MB/s. Hoping to see 2TB WD MyPassport eHDDs on flipkart soon!
   

I bought this product and transfered some of my important data to this because i was formating my system. The hard disk siezed its function with in 2 weeks.i ve been a seagate user for 4 years and the device is still functional.

The only good thing was they replaced the product with in 3 days but all my datas are lost

The product I had received is very old one. When I was connected to my laptop it was displayed that the product is made on 2012 march and modified on 2013 April. Am not at all satisfied.

Compact enough in size.
Good product.
Poor Aesthetics. in my black version.
I will suggest try different colour.

Been many months now... Touch wood!! WD has served me well... The USB3 is really fast and have had no problems whatsoever. I suggest you buy a hard case for it though... Don't take risks with any external drive.

Worth for the money. I already have a WD unit, and I would say I am a happy customer for WD.. Flipkart - as usual, you rock..
