This Drive is awesome.. works great in windows and mac… but no wd smartware application for mac. must format in HFS to work with timemachine...

As requested the product reached me on the exact date i wished and asked for. The drive is compact and easy to carry. Though the prices fluctuate on a daily basis on various e-commerce portals, i'm satisfied for the price I've bought for on that particular day.

First to start with the wd my passport is an awesome harddisc.
It is better than Seagate,Sony etc..as it gives very high copying speed-100mbs/sec.
This is not offered by any other product and I got it for Rs 4000 which is really cheap compared to other harddiscs with same facilities.
The wire is small for a reason so that the files are transferred at a much faster pace.
All the 3.0 wires are small ,so its an asset not a liability. Flipkarts delivary was prompt.

Bought hard disk from flipkart after checking price on all major online outlets. Don't know why there is so much fluctuation in price. Performance wise its a nice product and flipkart delievery was on time (full marks for that). But my warranty expires a month before 3 years period and have got no satisfactory response for that. All in all a satisfactory experience. Go for it if you want to have a nice portable harddisk.

I own a seagate backup 1 TB as well, but this one seems to be better while running for long duration. I have transferred almost 200GB stuff to both of them, and the transfer speed provided by this one was very consistent compared to the Seagate (The files were same, I just wanted to see how both behave.)

Right now I am giving it a 5star rating, but I will be satisfied only if it lasts sometime for me.
