This is the finest portable drive I had ever used. I used to use Seagate Backup Plus, Seagate GoFlex, Toshiba Canvio. But, I found this one as perfect. Small size and faster transfer speed. WD rocks.

I ordered this product on 3rd DEC evening and got it delivered by 4th afternoon, super speed delivery, thanks Flipkart for that.

I am currently using this product by connecting it to my LAVA Etab Xtron tablet and it is being detected flawlessly(ofcourse with an additional app from Google play store"Stick mount") and the transfer speeds i'm getting while copying files from my tab to the HDD is 15 to 20Mb/s which is quite good for tablet-HDD transfer, and hoping that i'll be getting even more ...

As far as hard drives are concerned i think western digital is as reliable as Seagate . Also when it comes to external storage , the usb controllers on Western Digital seem to be much better than Seagate . I have had both drives and many drives for years now , but western digital looks better for external storage and Seagate for internal storage in my opinion . Hello, 1st of all i would like to suggest you that
1. When its external HDD only n only trust WD & Seagate.

2. U can also purchase Seagate Backup Plus but with WD My Passport there comes data encrytion which is extremely beneficial for me.

3. the most important thing u should do after receiving the HDD is to go to wd support page and go to warranty check...input ur serial no. there and check if its having 3yrs or not.

I had to buy an ext. HDD because my dog peed on the previous one. This was my first buy of a WD product and I was surprised by its overall performance. I have listed its 'good's' and 'can be better' points.

Looks : Fairly sleek. Lightweight. Blunt edges (won't develop cracks).

Got It Within 1 Days, Fast Delivery. Nice Packaging By Flipkart. Opened The Box And Got It In My Hand. This Hard Drive Is Very Light And Compact. The Black Colour Gives It Premium Looks. Connected It To My Laptop 2.0 Port. Got An Awesome Transfer Rate About 25mb/sec (2.0 Port). Some Files Like WD Apps Are Preloaded Which Took Up 360 mb. We Get 930gb Of Space On It. Overall An Awesome Product.

I ordered this hard disk on Saturday night and by Monday morning it was nearly 5k !!!!!! I don't understand the logic but anyway the product has been super good so far..... its pretty much the size of your passport (hence the name). so its incredibly compact, light and wire length is pretty decent enough..... I am getting transfer speeds of up to 9mb/sec which I think is okay.....
