A really great product by Western Digital !! Very compact and well-designed and fits in a shirt pocket easily!! Price is very reasonable and 1 TB is a lot of space...Got download speeds of 25 Mb/s on USB 2.0, transferring 50 Gb in 30 min...Have to try on 3.0 to see if it matches up...All in All, a must have and a great product !!

It is silky nice and Compaq WD HDD.
main future of this HDD is support window to Go ...
it has install windows 8 in only this WD HDD....not other HDD install windows 8..
and speed wise is same to other HDD,,,

so buy this HDD....and use windows 8 whenever u r...

1. First impression, HDD is quite tiny, its amazing to see how small 1TB drives have becomes. My previous 1T drive had a separate power adapter, and another 320GB drive had 2 USB connections for more power. Anyhoo.

2. USB cable is quite short!

3. HDD worked perfectly out of the box, so thankfully I did not have a DOA drive like some ppl have reported. Box was superbly packaged with lots of giant bubble wraps.

4. I've made 4 partitions. Used it on about 3 machines so far: Win 8.1 self-bui...

Guys u can ramble all u want about the small data cable and all..bt really..there's nothing on the market which compares with this little fellow. Fantastic speed, great ergonomics, tremendously priced..u really have to be shizophrenic not to buy this..cheers.

This is my first external hard disk from flipkart and its come to me in a nice packing. WD My Passport is a best choice for external hard disk. Its easy to carry, fit in pocket, compect and sexy design, light weight. In 1 tb there is total 931 gb. Transfer speed is very nice 30 to 70 mbps with usb 2.0 and 60 to 120 mbps with usb 3.0. I used it more than 4 hours but there is no heating and any type of sound problem. Compartible with both Laptop and Desktop.

I am very surprised that , Flipkart Delivered the Consignment before two days as scheduled , really appreciable and the update regarding shipment is prompt and timely.

Now regarding the product:
It was a fantastic product from WD (brand know for its reliablity).
Data transfer speed is blazing.
Service warranty of 3 yrs is amazing at this low price.
Only problem i found was short cab...
