I bought the 2TB orange model @5899. Packaging is very good thanks to Flipkart.
PROs:
1. Best in class read/write speed.
2. Hinges at the bottom for better surface grip.
3. Preloaded software for backup & encryption.
4. Cable quality is premium.
CONs:
1. If used for copying files for more than hours it starts heating little bit but no too much.
2. A bit expensive.

Great Product. I am in love with this. Its compact, light and very handy. But the build quality could have been better. Its made of Plastic and easily prone to scratches. Get a good case to protect it. Read/Write speeds are awesome and as expected. I am getting around 135MB/s. Averages around 120MB/s. The total available space we get is about 930GB. I got the freaking hard drive today and although it looks plasticky and of a low quality build, it is quite sturdy. The surface is glossy. I immediately registered it at wd.com with the serial number provided for the 3 year warranty. The exact total space available is 1.8 Tb and write speeds for copying big files was about 75-85 Mbps so that's kinda okay. This is my first WD hard disk...and it's awesome.
Bought 1TB one.
First of all thanks to flipkart for early delivery but disappointed because of moderate packaging. After that coming to product.
At first time for 4-5 times the write and read speed was very less about 40 MBps and I thought that the product is damaged but after that the speed just went on.
Read Speed- 100-150 MBps
Write speed- 70-90 MBps
Using USB 3.0
Not checked with USB 2.0.
Why use 2.0 when you have 3.0.

blue colour is a little bit lighter than i thought
size is very small only 3/4 th of my palm.so choose u r drive cover wisely...
very less heating while used for a continuous copying from lap to drive (2hrs)
connectivity cable is good and material used is a high quality one
i bought for 3800 which is a little bit expensive
if u can get it under 3500 then it is a budget choice
go for it ...its a good drive

Western Digital the name I look for and sggest when it comes to harddisk. I never owned any other brand till date.
