i must recommend this product. it is very handy an slim. transfers data @20-22 mb/sec.

It fits in ur pocket, its fast , stylish, what else do u want ...?.
As compared to other products , especially the main competetion
Seaget , it is much lighter, less costly, and stylish.
I will recommend this. Oh... And can be locked with password too.
And it comes with a bunch of utilities....i'm lovin it..

WD Passport 500 GB External Portable HDD
This is the best 500GB Portable HDD. much better than Seagate or others. Its very silent, fast and reliable! I've tested it on both USB 2.0 and 3.0 and it performs according to its specifications by WD.
If anybody feels it slow then check your connected pc/laptop port speed first before targeting this beauty!
I received it from Flipcart within 24Hrs in a nice comfortable packing and rs.400 less than market price!
What else one need.... Best on Best.... WD on Flipkart!

I order this product on 26th Dec'12 recieved it on 29th Dec'12 as expected, excellent service. The transfer rate both ways is about 30-31 MB/s on usb 2. Haven't tried usb 3 yet. It is silent doesn't make much noise. Software bundled with this portable disk are WD Apps which include WD Unlocker,WD Utilities ,WD Security and WD Smartware, which helps you to monitor,backup,erase and encrypted your disk. Very handy and nice build don't think... go for it ..you won't regret. And yes it is indeed ...

Compact HD somewhr between ok and perfect, Delivery exceeded my expectations
This is my first HD from WD bcoz Seagate is losing its reputation god know why...
For me two 500GB is better than 1TB bcoz if u lose one you don't lose everything
The HD is compact, easily fits into your pocket my mobile is bigger than this product.
Transfer speed is something which cannot to bragged about...its OK. The USB cable length is quite adequate seriously you cannot expect a meter long cable for a portable device. The build quality is not great may be that's why the colored ones are ...

Its fast and reliable, but not that portable i say because its little thick than previews Passports. USB 3 is really fast if you connect it to a USB 3 port you will get 60 MB/s

At first, Thx to Flipkart for its super fast shipping in 2 days, packed strong..
Coming to the product, Very small & light weight HDD from WD, it has beautiful sparking holograpy print on the front cover. It comes with handy APPS. Im vry happie with the performance. It doesnt get heated up what so ever. U get 465GB/500GB.
On USB 2.0 it manages to score 32 MB\s.
On USB 3.0 it manages to score 95 MB\s.
I only wish that it would have come with a case.
