Before I share my views on the product, a few words about the service. I had ordered this at 11:30 pm on Monday and had it in my hands Wed the same week. Was constantly updated thru web/text msgs about the status of my order.

Bought this product a couple of months back & used it extensively.

Pros:

1. 1TB of storage
2. good feature set
3. good remote sensor (trust me, there are media players where the remote sucks big time)

Cons:

1. Startup time is more, it takes a lot of time to come to the home screen
2. Doesn't have WIFI, need to connect it thru ethernet cable to access online content. Very inconvenient in case u have the wireless router in some other place. WiFi would have been an excellent option.

Plays almost all hd video file formats i had including m2ts and has a very large 1tb hdd.
I use this for my 32 inch tv which is only 720p.
quick buttons in remote to change subtitle and audio tracks.
cool option to change subtitle color,size and position.
I have almost 200 720p movies in this device and still there is more than 400gb free.

as for flipkart and WS retail- timely delivery and neat packaging.

It's been quite a while that i've been using this device. I knew about it since long, but waited for a bit before i made the purchase. The Integrated 1TB media surely helps to keep things compact and hassle free, as it seamlessly connects with the UI and syncs well with all the rest of the Gadgets over WI-Fi.

the one thing i like about this one is, its very easy to use. The one thing i dislike most and for the good part is its very slow. This is good for a beginner, who's collecting his recording and storing for tv share and others. But if you are a veteran in collection video, be sure to learn some hack because the wd tv live hub will take your life out to transfer video's...

This is a great product if you are a movie enthusiast and a shameless downloader of HD videos.Throw any format of HD rips available on torrents and this baby would play it like a master.Incredible quality and fairly portable.Bur I do wish if I had purchased its 2 TB model rather then 1TB. We always have hunger for more.

This is a media player cum network hard drive .

It can play nearly every format of audio video and pictures.

It supports online service like YouTube Facebook Netflix etc.

It supports external hard drives and pendrive and also keyboard and mouse.

It supports subtitles on videos but only local videos like inside the internal hard drive or external one. Subtitles are not supported in network sharing.

You have all kind of media players in the market with amkette giving some as low as 4000 rs. The only reason i went for this system was because -

1. 1 TB of HDD. No matter how many more HDDs you have, having memory on the player is much much better. Reduces access time for your favorite movies.

2. Plays just about anything. Till now, I have plugged in all kind of formats into this system...played them all. This is something you miss when you plug drives into a TV.

Nice storage cum Media Player.
Plays almost all the file formats.
DLNA plugs quite easily.
The software/firmware updates automatically for the latest codecs nd features.
