2bought it as i expected it to be the best.
3found it to be the best, high level illustrations good enough to crack gate with highest grades.
4paper quality average (expectations were high from wiley)
5 bought it with gate engineering maths and general aptitude ( by G K publications) as it is not covering these topics.
6 in love with the book.. certainly helping .

i have Both ARIHANT and Wiley.. wiley is better..
Arihant has skipped a lot of points... While Wiley has covered the syllabus pretty well.
I read Material Science Part of the book...and felt it is better than arihant.
Read Mechanics part of the book and felt arihant is better...arihant has twice as many examples and more detailed explanation of the formulas.
Fluid Mechanics : Wiley does very well. A big Plus. Even Better than Bansal(reference book of around 1000 pages).

Good book for beginner as well as for high-scoring in GATE.This is the only book with scientific language ,rarely any mistake.This book can be referred right from Third Year of academics.
But,this book lacks engineering mathematics,verbal and numerical ability which is must for scoing in top 1000.

This book has been written giving importance to the topic of relevance in GATE for mechanical engineering. Manufacturing and production has covered in detail. The book is very precise and very easy to understand.
The contents are arranged in a manner that its very interesting to read the book and covers all the topic in a detailed manner and the questions are solved in a way that its very easy to understand.
The only short coming of the book is the Numerical ability, Reasoning and Aptitude sections are not included, and more of practice questions would have been appreciated .
