Racy and engrossing

I have a moratorium on buying books since I have more than a few to finish. So this is a book I wouldn't have bought if it were not that the author is my neighbour. So, normalise for any bias in this review.

This is a story of a girl-next-door's (well literally) feisty journey into adulthood and happiness. What's special about that you may ask. There are many interesting people out there after all. True, but few non-career writers can be so brutally honest with themselves, have the courage t...

Honest and Neat!

a simple narrative and a good insight to a girl-next-doors life and struggle. What may make the readers wonder is "how can a lady just 28yrs, experience so much situations, moods and thoughts, but GOD has many ways to make a person what they are.

This is a good book to detox oneself and also to reflect on how much we have traveled in our own lives!

A story so true - it can be termed fictional!!

A Must Read for every Wise Guy and Gal!

Can so much really happen in the life of a 28 year old? While it seems like a fast paced movie; Gauri's narration makes it flow fluently. Reading the book one can only wonder about how strong a girl can get; right from the age of 15. And why did all these event's happen in her life? But as she points out - maybe it was God's way of showing her true self to herself.

We may be knowing many Gauri's in our neighbourhood or in our lives as well - but it ta...

I have never read a book as fast as this one!

I got my book yesterday.. and I was travelling today.. and it was the perfect companion! Im a very lousy reader... I can generally never usually get to more than 20-30 pages in one sitting.. but it was surprising, even to me, to find out that before I knew it.. I was at page 70.. and I kept reading and reading.. and completed the whole book on the same day! It is such an interesting, and honest story.. and there are a lot of take aways from this.. as a parent, and as a husband! I cannot help,...

Its a page turner book

I loved this book "Wise Enough To be Foolish" The title itself is good enough to drag my attention. I have had the privilege of reading this and I like the gutsy girl who grew up from a small kid exposed to the ups and downs of the world. Every chapter is so exciting that I cant stop turning the pages.
Happy to recommend this to readers who love romance and passion :-)

Fun read that will also puts some questions out there!

So, if you are looking for booker prize literature - this is not the book for you but it's the simplicity that struck a chord. I like to read books without a dictionary Will remind you of your own growing days and many situations that we as indian women in particular would have experienced. It's like reading a friends diary but one of those slightly daring, gutsy friends!

No wonder it's FB fan page is multiplying!

The name and the cover got my attention at the airport. A thoroughly enjoyable read that reminds you of those sweet good ole days but in the end, without being preachy, does more than just that by bringing you face to face with some questions that we all ought to sometimes ask and answer. With a chatty narrative from a girls perspective and an engaging plot you want to go on because you want to know how its going to end. Never a dull moment - great 'pick-me-up' read!

Wise Enough: definitely

This book is going to set hearts on fire, in both the real and an emotional way. The journey of a woman, who is certainly a super woman, has been penned down superbly and like many said, is a book you will put down only after going through dusk to dawn of the story.
She is a vociferous character in real life, always running, screaming, paving way for attention and self respect which is aptly written through a journey of her emotions in the book.

Wise enough to be foolish by Gauri Jayaram

Wise enough to be foolish ..is a superb, fantastic book. The author Gauri Jayaram has managed to write a story that is, in it's simplicity, so lucid and honest that it touches you! I, for one could not put the book down and just had to finish reading. Endearing, honest and very well written- are words that instantly wandered through my mind post reading. Brava, Gauri!
