The combat in the The Witcher 2 has grown leaps and bounds over its predecessor. Geralt has two swords ready in his arsenal. These include a steel one for humans and a silver one for monsters. You can set up different types of traps, throw knives and combine them with an array of magical abilities to overcome your enemies. Elements like the command wheel can be used to slow down time. You can mind-control enemies, put out magical sign lock to temporarily contain your opponents in shackles and a do a lot more.
The combat system is complex and designed in such a way that it demands smart thinking. You have to pay close attention to every skill point you allocate to the character as mistakes can cost you dearly. Effectively allocating the skill points will assist you in taking down enemies much easier and lead you towards your quest, without any hassle.
