About Norman Lewis
Norman Lewis was an American author, lexicographer and grammarian.
His published works include Dictionary of Pronunciation, Correct Spelling Made Easy, Instant Word Power, Dictionary of Correct Spelling, How to Read Better And Faster, and Speak Better, Write Better.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York, 1912 and acquired his Master’s degree from Columbia University. He started his career as an English Language teacher at New York University. He was associated with different institutes like City College of New York and Rio Hondo College. He was also the head of Rio Hondo’s Communications Department. His books are essentially aimed at helping improve English grammar and speaking abilities. He passed away in 2006 at the age of 93.
