    Description

With an extensive repertoire of mental workouts to develop the subtle nuance of English grammar and build upon an enriched network of vocabulary, this book brings together a succinct narrative to engage readers with the sole purpose of enhancing the use of words.

    Summary Of The Book

Word Power Made Easy: The Complete Handbook For Building A Superior Vocabulary is a superior reference book and guide that exerts all its efforts in making the content and its education more accessible and easy to use. This reissued edition contains revised content that is more attuned to the current idiomatic use of the English language and archaic analogies have been replaced through the book. The book is divided into three sections.

The first section starts with more basic nuances of speaking the language. Here the author begins by first testing the readers present grasp over vocabulary. It moves on to the domain of describing the use of the English language in conversation with different personalities including doctors, scientists, liars and in turn presents information on conveying ideas related to the aforementioned personas. It then drives on to the second section whereby the focus is not just on conveying information but also emotions that vary across insulting, flattering and conversing about actions.

The third section deals with complete success in mastering the language. Among chapters that centre around occurrences, personal characteristics and general conversation, this section provides tips on building the reader’s vocabulary even further and gauging progress. Every chapter ends with a review and the end of each section leads to a progressive check text that comprehensively involves all the content of that section.

The invaluable guide ends with ‘brief intermission’ where the author notes the grammatical delicacies of the language and does so in ten little chapters. Here the flexibility of the language, idiomatic use of slang, speaking naturally and interesting derivatives are discussed in a concise manner. The book also has a number of tests to improve your language. Word Power Made Easy: The Complete Handbook For Building A Superior Vocabulary is indeed a champion in the cause of learning English in the fastest and most effective way.

Word Power Made Easy was first published in 1949.

    Value-for-money

Book content is not doubt excellent. Trusted by thousands. But book page & binding quality seriously needs to be improved. Book is very thick and hence after completing half the pages, it is impossible to fold the book to read. If you try to fold to read the page, binding is going to loose. Also starts of lines are glued in binding hence unable to read. So in short book is good but printing and publishing needs to be improved hugely.

    Good Book (The original one)

This book is a good book for vocabs!
I thought this was an extension of the 'WordPower made Easy by Normal Lewis by Goyal Pub'(red book) but actually this(white book) is the first original book.

I would rather recommend the 'WordPower made Easy by Normal Lewis by Goyal Pub'(red book) since this has an extended word list and is the latest revised one.

This is not a reading book...

    Don't read this book!
Instead, work with it. Write in it, talk aloud to it, talk back to it- use your pen or pencil, your voice, not just your eyes and mind.

This has been written in the introduction of this book.. And I am glad to announce that it is more than that... You not only work with it but live with the book, once you will pick it up you will feel like going on and on.. But follow the instructions because it is well organized for the maximum optimization..

I had just received it an...

Great book if you want to increase your vocabulary

If you want to learn English then this book is not for you , Go for English grammar book like J.C Nesfield . But if you are better in English then this book is for you , it's an ultimate choice to learn more words and increase one's vocabulary.
It is very much helpful if you preparing for exams like C.A.T , M.A.T , X.A.T , G.A.T.E , etc
For C.A.T you should have vocabulary of 5000 words if u want to crack it , seriously 686 pages is enough .
    For G.A.T.E - generally we get 15 marks out of 100 ...

Q:What is the difference between this orange book and the red book ? and which book should we buy ?
A:It's practically the same with little or no differences in content. However, the red book is smaller and thicker in size. Thus, it becomes a little difficult to read. The orange book eliminates this.
