While working under a stern publisher who dealt with his staff like a military commander, the protagonist said something to the publisher that made him start sweating in the month of December. The unseen and unknown remote employers connected to the protagonist through the Internet make the protagonist wonder if he is living in an Orwellian 1984 or The Brave New World of Huxley!
Is it too late when the protagonist discovers he is working for a Pakistani company? Does the protagonist eventually catch up with Melissa, a fly-by-night, faceless, remote employer?
The publishing world is changing rapidly today, when everyone is a writer and reader alike, and getting published can be a cakewalk. Read on…

Author Info
Ajit Kumar Jha studied Philosophy at St Stephen’s College, Delhi, and Sociology at the Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University.
Currently, he writes in diverse genres for various clients and also writes independently on different web platforms.
In the process of building his career, he claims to have learned at least two valuable lessons. First, it is not for your personal satisfaction alone that you write, rather you write for others, pretty much like any other professional who works for others.
The second important lesson for the author is the importance of a unique way of telling a story.
Ajit Kumar Jha lives in Delhi along with wife and two kids. He is most likely to be spotted in his chair fiddling with the keyboard nearly any time of the day or night, seven days a week unless his wife drags him to some silly family or social function, literally by his collar.
He subscribes to the Buddhist philosophy of silence and the Gandhian philosophy of passive resistance because he found that after wasting all their energy in shouting and in theatrics, the opponents are left drop-dead exhausted, while you remain energetically smiling to your glory.
