The Phases 3010 from Xerox is a very light-weight and compact monochrome printer which is ideally priced for home users. It takes around 30 seconds to be ready from the time you turn it on, but print speed and quality is pretty good. The printer can handle paper, covers, envelopes and labels. The toner cartridges are located up front and are comparatively easy to access making replacing them when required a relatively easy task.

you have to purchase original toner only of 2000 rs coz there is a chip in the toner and if u reset this chip fm market then also u need original toner because the type of tone ink printer need is of different kind which work on low temperture that kind of ink is not available in market ..............................

there is a chip built into the cartridge. You can refill with Ink with your local vendor but it won't work because of the chip.

So, here I am about to 3000+ for a new cartridge after 700 sheets only.

I am yet to find a Xerox cartridge vendor in my neighborhood (Chennai 600083).

Just be careful before buying this as post-purchase costs are very high w.r.t cartridge as others have pointed out already. It's hell difficult and is costly too. I think the actual price of the printer actually should be Rs.7000 and not Rs.4500 because you will need to buy new cartridge very soon. Please do a thorough check with cartridge price before buying any printer.

Unfortunately, I purchased a Xerox phaser 3010 printer on advice of one of my friends, but after finishing of the first cartridge & refilling it, the printing became difficult. The manufacturer was approached, who did not co-operate at all and said that in case of refilled cartridge, they do not accept any warranty. In the meantime, I also spent approx. Rs. 2000/- on refilling and testing with various printer repairers but all the efforts were futile and the printer is lying with of no use...
