Equipped with dual hybrid XLR ports, the Xtreme Acoustics Studio 2 Audio Interface allows you to simultaneously record vocals and music from your instrument. Because its channels 1 and 2 input ports include two custom microphone preamplifiers, this audio interface can easily work with a wide range of microphones. This audio interface also has two dedicated TRS balanced outputs, allowing you to connect a variety of compatible speakers and phones. And, to effortlessly supply 48 V phantom power to the microphone inputs, simply press the dedicated button.
The Xtreme Acoustics Studio 2 Audio Interface sports two hybrid XLR input ports, allowing you to connect your microphone as well as instrument. This nifty connector accepts either a 6.35 mm (¼ inch) instrument plug or an XLR plug, which enables you to record vocals and music from your instrument at the same time.
Two custom microphone preamplifiers are available in channels 1 and 2. These preamps work exceptionally well with virtually all types of microphones, including condenser, dynamic, and ribbon. Channel 1 and Channel 2 have TS connectors of 6.35 mm (1⁄4 inch), which are ideal for connecting instruments such as guitar or bass. And, when you plug your instrument into the instrument input, the microphone preamplifier is bypassed, which converts this audio interface into an instrument preamplifier. This audio interface has 40 dB of variable gain (-10 to +30 dB) XLR microphone instrument inputs and 60 dB of variable gain (0 dB to +60 dB) TS 0.63 cm (¼ inch) instrument level inputs.
This audio interface also has a 5-pin DIN MIDI in and out connection for connecting your midi device, which enables you to create and record your track simultaneously while you sing. These ports can be used for MIDI sequencing, but the MIDI protocol is useful for more than just instruments and sequencing.
Featuring two dedicated TRS balanced outputs, this audio interface lets you connect speakers with separate stereo and mono ports and phones with 0.63 cm (¼ inch) headphone jacks. There are also dedicated preamplifier knobs for phones and the main output on this audio interface. After you've set the volume for each separately, the phone’s knob can help you easily control the volume of the headphone’s output on the rear of the audio interface. The headphone amplifier is extremely powerful, with a volume that goes as high as 11. The main knob, which has a range of -80 to 10 dB, controls the output level for the main outputs on the back of this audio interface.
This audio interface’s USB provides 48 V phantom power to each channel's microphone inputs. To ensure that all the microphone inputs receive phantom power, all you need to do is press the 48 V button.
This audio interface has a bus-powered USB connection that does not require an external power supply. Furthermore, it is compatible with all types of USB ports, including 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0, enabling you to connect a host of devices.
To use this audio interface, you must first install the driver software, which is available in CD format. If your PC does not have a CD drive, simply visit "https://xtremeacoustics.com/drivers/" and follow the installation instructions to download the driver.
