Built with dual hybrid XLR ports, the Xtreme Acoustics Studio 2 Audio Interface lets you record vocals and music from your instrument at the same time. This audio interface is designed to work well with a variety of microphones, as its channels 1 and 2 input ports feature two custom microphone preamplifiers. Also, this audio interface is integrated with two dedicated TRS balanced outputs, allowing you to connect a wide range of compatible speakers and phones. And, to conveniently supply 48V phantom power to the microphone inputs, all you need to do is press the dedicated button.
Featuring two hybrid XLR input ports, the Xtreme Acoustics Studio 2 Audio Interface lets you connect your microphone and instrument. This handy connector accepts a 63.5 mm (¼ inch) instrument plug or an XLR plug, allowing you to simultaneously record vocals along with music from your instrument.
The channels 1 and 2 input ports feature two custom microphone preamplifiers. These preamps perform remarkably well with nearly all types of microphones, including condenser, dynamic, and ribbon. Channels 1 and 2 have 63.5 mm (¼ inch) TS connectors that are ideal for connecting instruments such as your guitar or bass guitar. And, upon plugging your instrument into the instrument input, the microphone preamplifier is bypassed. This, in turn, transforms this audio interface into an instrument preamplifier. This audio interface has 40 dB of variable gain (-10 to +30 dB) XLR microphone instrument inputs and 60 dB of variable gain (0 dB to +60 dB) TS 63.5 mm (¼ inch) instrument level inputs.
This audio interface also has a 5-pin DIN MIDI in and out connection to connect your midi device, allowing you to simultaneously produce and record your track while singing. These ports can be used for MIDI sequencing, but the MIDI protocol can also be used for tasks other than just instruments and sequencing.
This audio interface features two dedicated TRS balanced outputs. One output is for speakers with stereo and mono separate ports, and the other is for phones with 63.5 mm (¼ inch) headphone jacks. This audio interface also has dedicated preamplifier knobs for phones and the main output. After you've set the volume for each individually, the phone’s knob can help you easily control the volume of the headphone’s output on the rear of this audio interface. The headphone amplifier delivers a powerful experience, as its volume goes all the way up to 11. The main knob controls the output level for the main outputs on the rear of this audio interface, which has a range of -80 to 10 dB.
This audio interface’s USB supplies 48 V phantom power to the microphone inputs on each channel. To ensure that all the microphone inputs receive phantom power, all you need to do is press the 48 V button.
This audio interface is equipped with a bus-powered USB connection that does not require an external power supply. Moreover, it is compatible with all kinds of USB ports, be it 1.1, 2.0, or 3.0.
To use this audio interface, you will first need to install the driver software available in CD format. If your PC does not have a CD drive, visit "https://xtremeacoustics.com/drivers/" and follow the installation instructions to download the driver.
