This is a very good book. The writing style of the book is also very good. The very fast chapter of this explains how can you reduce the risk of the money that is invested in the market. I haven't read the whole book yet but up to now i will give it 4/5.

A well written book with a nice casual undertone. It focuses on corporate special situation investment scenarios which happen to be author's expertize. Author explains different investment strategies in the book with insightful case studies. The book is categorically divided and the chapters need not be read sequentially. Finally on a scale of 10 for value for money it scores 10.

Joel Greenblatt can really teach you to be a stock market genius. The book mostly talks about finding great investing opportunities in the often overlooked areas such as spinoffs, restructurings, rights offerings etc. You may find some great ideas which you can put to good use in your own portfolio. Doing your own research is still very important but Greenblatt teaches you where to focus your efforts. This books proves useful to all those persons who have some basic knowledge about stock markets and are well versed with some of the stock selection and evaluation strategies.
