Summary of the Book
The author discusses several thoughtful plans on order to perform better at work and scale greater heights, through characters called Emily, Paul and their two children. Emily is an executive in a big corporation. She has been recently promoted. Paul is a consultant, an entrepreneur. For married couple with children, balancing between family and work is a big challenge. Phone calls, meeting, presentations, emails, plans and projects flood their professional lives and they have to stay ahead of the competition and be the best at what they do. David explains the best strategies that help in accomplishing these aspirations very intricately. He also details on smart and sensible ways that help in individual growth as well as helping those around us grow. Here is a book with a difference, for more organized and balanced life.
About David Rock
David rock is the founder of NeuroLeadership Institute, and also happens to be the one to coin the term NeuroLeadership. He leads an annual global summit on Leadership and is the co-editor of the NeuroLeadership Journal. This institute is a part of the NeuroLeadership Group, of which David is the CEO. He is associated with Oxford University’s Said Business School as a guest lecturer. He is an Australian but currently lives in New York City. He frequently gives talks on leadership and is also a coach for people in corporations in various countries. He has also penned books like Quiet Leadership: Six Steps to Transforming Performance at Work and Authoritarian Argentina the Nationalist Movement, Its History and Its Impact among other works.
