Great book even if you are an absolute beginner or even if you have some experience of working with Unix.
Great for reference on "how to do something" in Unix. Most useful utilities like the vi are very well explained. Does not go too deep into therotical aspects but immediately gets to the point.
Great glossary. All in all a good buy. Worth it.

I started reading this book lately. I like the writing style of the author. The author has presented each and every topic in a clear manner so as to make this book a self study guide. You can use this book as a learning tool as well as a reference. It has many exercises and questions to help the reader to test his understanding of each chapter. Overall a very good book for readers who are contemplating of using Linux/Unix.

I am a beginner to the world of unix which i need in my profession.i had a very limited knowledge of unix but when read the book for the first time, i was really taken away. Thw language in which the author tried to explain is very simple and can be understood very easily.
