Though the fan is not so powerful, it cools my laptop. It has been more than a week since I purchased this. No issues till now.
The bottom is open, but harmless as the fans are of flexible plastic and won't hurt you.
Worth the price for normal laptop usage.

VALUE FOR MONEY
NO nonsense product, writing review after using for around 10 days, Checked the temperature drop using softwares like speccy and speedfan, hard disk was running pretty cool under same load condition, Under idle load you will notice small difference But once you start running high-medium graphics games this pad control temperature effectively.
My current(pad plugged) temperature reading is cpu 40'C,motherboard 40'C,hard drive 35'C whereas it was cpu47'c, MB48'C, hdd 40'C without the pad some...

Useless product
Don't waste your money.Purchased two times.It can run maximum 3 to 4 months.It can't reduce heat.If you run gns3/heavy application.

Dont buy this!!!!
I have used this product for 4 months. I own a dell inspiron 15r 7520 and it was doing a great job of cooling initially but now its fan does not work properly. The fan now loses its speed due to some reason . Another flaw that i found out is that the design at its sides is too fragile.cracks started creeping out at the end of 3 months ( Which also seemed to be the case with some of my friends who also tried this product).

value for money
hey guys spending 2000rs for branded cooling pad is meaningless bcz m d fool went thru dis phase (purchased belkin). but now realized bettr spend 280 rs wic is unbeatable infrnt of branded cooling pads works fine. m happy wit dis. fulfils ur purpos.

Good product
Got the products in with a week time . The packing was so big that almost as if i ordered a Laptop not a Laptop cooling Pad. Fan runs nicely & silently .
It even comes with 4 Blue LED which can work like back light around the laptop ...
Don't except to fully cool down the laptop but it a good products.
The stand can even become a Laptop stand even when the Cooling Pad stops working :)

it a great experience to use this item a great cooling pad for a laptop of size 14'
but it can also covey its brilliance for above laptop size 14' that is I am personally using 15'6 laptop still it is usefull. more over it fits your budget
