Description

Discover the wisdom of ages with Gavin Aung Than’s comic renditions of popular quotes from the Zen Pencils webcomics.

Summary of the Book

Zen Pencils: Cartoon Quotes from Inspirational Folks begins with a simple enough surmise. Gavin Aung Than, a cartoonist, began by drawing simple post-like artwork centred around inspirational quotes. He added flavour to his artwork by blending in his own storylines and interpretations, bringing readers an ensemble of characters they know and love. One of these characters, the Shaolin Monk, has become the very symbol of Zen Pencils and Gav’s heritage. This book is a valuable addition to the library of all fans of Gav’s work, and it will encourage them to pursue their own dreams and to find their purpose.

One of the Best of its kind!

Have been a follower of this web series for a long time now. The book is really well made, though a bit costly for indian standards. Already a hit among my guests.

Bought this primarily to show appreciation for the author and I'm glad I did

This is a collection of the comics on the Zen Pencils site and in this book form serves primarily as a token of appreciation of the tremendous effort that the author puts into his work.

In terms of content, presentation and general experience, I personally felt the site is much better because the book lacks all the context (the little notes by Gav at the bottom of the online comics and the comments that follow). Also, I felt the comics built for the site do not transfer well on paper simply...
