A tad too expensive but best in the league
For the available phones for CDMA, there is no competition for this phone. I bought this for my wife from Amazon.in for 18K.
Some really good things about it are:
1. Smart (est?) phone on CDMA
2. Great screen quality
3. Duel SIM
4. Audio is amazing
5. Looks very good
6. So far its working very fast
7. Very lightweight
Here are what I think downsides:
1. 18K is not justified. 12-13 would have been a steal. 15 would have given me some peace of mind
2. No 3G on GSM. Have to rely on Reliance EV...

Best for CDMA but OK for GSM
Hi..I am one of the first purchased before it come to the regular market and online as I knew XC supersedes VC. Very good phone with excellent features and all works well but GSM receiver is not as sensitive as regular GSM phones so the signal coverage is poor especially if you are staying ground floor. I have been using this product for the last 15 days. I also use iphone 4S so my expectations were pretty high from this set. Somehow at this price point it packs in all the important features but doesnt excel in any of them.
The 1st thing that you notice is the awesome 4" display. Color rendition feels good too.
Though camera is 5MP the pics dont seem that great. Maybe the default settings need to be tweaked.

best budgeted phone in cdma category
this is best for cdma user at this price range. Im using it since 11 months.
1. it never hangs
2. good speed
3. excellent camera
4. majority games work well
5. battery life is quite unsatisfactory if mob data is on but is excellent if the mob data is off
6. cdma user doest have much option
7. better than lenovo
8. if u can afford then htc offers better mobiles between 20-30k

Overall Good piece
I have been using this product. Good piece. Serves my purpose. But hangs occasionally. Was mainly purchased for HSIA internet for mails and CDMA voice calling with GSM SIM as back up. Works accordingly. Quite stable. Had downloaded Swype keyboard. Everytime the phone takes a reboot, the keyboard is set to default and it is one minor irritant to set it back to Swype again. Swype is not free like Samsung and needs to b purchased.Speaker volume is a little lower side. But fairly ruggedly built.

Guys Its an HTC phone and believe me, its a good option for CDMA.. :-)
I was using Samsung Galaxy POP SCH-I559 from April 2011. And that was the best option I could have afforded at that time with a combination of Android and CDMA. This handset supported me well for 2.5 years and then a time came when I had to look for new option.
I am in agreement that there are very few options for CDMA and since the launch of this handset I was not in favor of buying HTC Desire XC because of so many negative reviews, its comparison with HTC Desire VC and of course the higher...

Best CDMA phone in india
Hello,
I am using this phone since last 3 months and I am quite satisfied with this.
Definitely it has some pros & cons like any other phone.
Pros :
1) Awesome looks with pretty light in weight
2) Magnificent sound with headphone (Beats Audio)
3) Very good display with equally good touch sense.
4) Doesn't hang or heat even with multiple opened apps, games
5) Camera is also very satisfying (considering 5MP)
6) CDMA+GSM Both SIMs work together and no signal issue seen.
Cons :

best phone but small screen according to price tag...
this phone is amazing just a brillant phone ..... but just 4 inch screen............... thats only the reason why HTC is not getting its respect in market. the phone is just awesome... gr8 looks and features but if this product would come in at least 4.5 inch screen it would be a 5star even more star product.

To all the reviewers please research about the phone then think of reviewing....SHIPS WITH ANDROID 4.1.1 .... and SENSE 4+..... its a very good phone ..... if you want a cdma phone you are at the right page... just received it from flipkart ....have not used extensively.....the DISPLAY is Awesome.... and the most important thing THE LOOKS - one of the prettiest!!!
