If you are reading this you are perhaps looking for a note on Battery life. My phone has lasted just over a day with regular usage (not watching movies and skype - just phone internet getting used to new phone). Its 28 hours from last recharge and its still not dead (below 30%).
So ofcourse its much better than Desire HD as the size is more manageable for me, and i always wanted a black piece. Its screen is very bright, far superior to Desire HD. So I guess the only reason you should still consider Galaxy S is because of its even better battery life and that its 2k cheaper. But I wouldn't trade that for HTC software look and feel.
Its black, bright, shiny, smart and fast. All that you wanted from a phone is here and cheers to Flipkart I have it so soon. (this has to be the first review I ever wrote for anything, I sure am impressed) :)
Just look at the incredible s and you know its different. Its aluminium body welded together in style not only only looks great but also feels great. The screen, for watching movies and videos has great clarity and has a 4 Inch Super LCD Cinematic Display. It has an 8 MP camera and a 720p video recorder. It can display 16 million colors and has a dual LED flash and a flashlight. So if your power ever goes goes off, just flip the switch and your dual led flash is on
I did insane amount of research before zeroing on to purchase this mobile. Here is the abstract of my research! This phone has the highest desired features to cost ratio among all the higher end Smartphones. It has absolutely no drawbacks, unlike the Samsung galaxy counterparts - which suffer from the absence of flash for camera, low resolution front camera and of course the plastic back body. If you compare with HTC Desire S, for just a little extra price, a bigger screen and higher resolution camera can be got. That's what I thought before buying the mobile. Now, let me describe the experience after buying it and using it continuously for 4-5 days.
The touch is pretty good and the screen is sufficiently bright. All the other features Gps, wireless tethering etc are funtioning as expected. When I bought this phone I had one specific target in mind i.e to be able to make Skype calls on 3G. Haven't tried the video calls yet (for the fear of 3G usage cost), but the voice calls so far have gone exceptionally well. Kudos to HTC Incredible S and Airtel 3G. Always thought that the only drawback possible with a touchscreen is the typing. But surprisingly, the 'touch typing' experience has been incredibly smooth. HTC widgets and the overall sense UI hasn't disappointed either. The 4'' screen is by no means cumbersome to carry and if you are not going to stuff the phone in an ungainly case it will not be trouble carrying it in your pocket.
The only flip side is that the battery needs recharging everyday. Well, I blame that more on Andorid OS than the phone itself.
Ordered this phone and delivery was timely. The phone is really incredible as the name goes. I was a little confused to choose between the Desire HD and Incredible S. Finally made the right choice, the phone is sleek though it looks a little bulky in pictures because of the curve. It fits right into the hand, not too large, not too small. 4" is a pretty good size for a screen. Oh yes, did I not mention about the Gorilla glass that it has, it's been more than a week and I have been using it without a screen guard.
