  • Description

Secrets and Legends is the second volume of Grant Morrison’s 18 Days, an illustrated retelling of the great Indian epic, the Mahabharata.

    Summary of the Book

The stage has been set for the greatest clash in history. Mortals and immortals will walk the battlefield together as the two great families of the Kuru dynasty, the Pandavas and the Kauravas, battle for control of the empire. They are led by the likes of Krishna, the God who has come from the future to save mankind, and Bheeshma, the nearly immortal warrior whose demise may lie at the hands of the bio-engineering Draupadi and her twin Drishta. Events converge as Krishna expounds the cosmological phenomenon, a singularity which originated with the Big Bang, known as the Bhagavad Gita. Here, mankind faces its darkest hour.

    Excellent chapters and graphics.

Mahabharath is amazing any time, what grant has done is get his details right (calculating yugas, yudi reaching out to his gurus/elders, birth of dhuryodhan...). I am looking forward for the several controversial / hidden secrets about the super warriors in mahabhrath like he has done with international superheros. Looking forward to the other volumes.
