Summary of the Book

In the year 1999, a group of human scientists uncover a strange and obviously artificial entity on the surface of the moon. It is a black slab, created by an advanced alien race. Their odyssey will lead them to Saturn, where they will learn that they are not alone, and those who watch them are not entirely friendly.

About Arthur C. Clarke

Arthur C. Clarke was a British science fiction novelist and short story writer. He is considered to be one of the finest science fiction writers of his time and he is also known for Rendezvous with Rama.

Media Note

This book was predominantly adapted from the eponymous screenplay by Clarke and Stanley Kubrick. The film is considered to be one of the greatest science fiction movies of all time.
